PENGARUH STRUKTUR MODAL TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR PARIWISATA

The tourism sector is a strategic sector that plays a crucial role in driving national economic growth. Its contribution stems not only from increased foreign exchange earnings through foreign tourists but also from job creation and the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around tourist destinations. Facing increasingly fierce global competition and changing economic conditions, companies in the tourism sector are required to maintain optimal financial performance to survive and thrive. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship and influence of capital structure variables on profitability using statistically measurable numerical data. The population in this study was all tourism, hotel, restaurant, and entertainment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression using SPSS. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that capital structure influences the profitability of tourism companies. Capital structure, which reflects the proportion of debt to equity, is a critical factor determining a company's ability to generate profits.
