PENGARUH KEDISIPLINAN DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SEKOLAH DASAR PADA DISTRIK TEMINABUAN KABUPATEN SORONG SELATAN

This study aims to analyze the effect of discipline and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Teminabuan District, South Sorong Regency. The phenomenon of declining teacher performance characterized by low learning innovation, untimely completion of administrative tasks, and minimal participation in professional development activities forms the background of this research. The research method employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. The study population comprised all 60 elementary school teachers with Civil Servant status in Teminabuan District, and the entire population was sampled using saturated sampling (census) technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis utilized multiple linear regression with the SPSS program. The results revealed that: (1) Discipline has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance with a regression coefficient of 0.575 and significance of 0.000 < 0.05; (2) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance with a regression coefficient of 0.433 and significance of 0.000 < 0.05; (3) Discipline and work motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance with an F-count value of 56.945 and significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.666 indicates that 66.6% of the variation in teacher performance is explained by the variables of discipline and work motivation, while the remaining 33.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
