ANALISIS PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN MOTIVASI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KABUPATEN MAYBRAT PROVINSI PAPUA BARAT DAYA

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work motivation, on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of Maybrat Regency. The study was conducted due to indications of low employee performance characterized by lack of initiative, late completion of tasks, and weak coordination, which are thought to be related to leadership style, motivation. This study uses an associative quantitative approach with a survey method. The population and sample in this study were 121 permanent employees of the Regional Secretariat of Sorong Regency who were selected using the Slovin technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that: (1) Leadership style does not have a significant effect on employee performance indicating that the leadership style applied is less effective and even hinders performance; (2) Work motivation has a significant effect on indicating that motivation is the main determining factor in the context of procedural bureaucracy; Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on employee performance. The implications of this study are the importance of transforming leadership styles towards a more participatory and supportive direction, strengthening value-based discipline systems, and revitalizing reward systems that enable motivation to be converted into performance. Suggestions are directed to leaders to evaluate leadership practices and improve the work environment to be more conducive to improving organizational performance.
