Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the performance of Government Employee Teachers with Work Agreements (PPPK) in Southwest Papua Province. PPPK teacher performance is a crucial aspect in supporting the improvement of education quality, especially in regions still facing limited educational facilities and distribution of teaching staff. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to PPPK teachers as research respondents. Data analysis was conducted using statistical analysis techniques to determine the influence of factors affecting PPPK teacher performance. The results indicate that professional competence, work motivation, work discipline, work environment, and organizational support influence PPPK teacher performance. PPPK teachers are generally capable of carrying out teaching tasks, educational administration, and professional responsibilities well. However, several technical obstacles affect teacher effectiveness, such as limited educational facilities and infrastructure, inadequate internet access, difficult geographical conditions, and high school administrative burdens. Furthermore, the uneven distribution of teachers also results in some teachers having a relatively high workload. Improving the performance of PPPK teachers requires more optimal support from local governments and schools through improved educational facilities, teacher competency development, equitable distribution of teaching staff, and strengthening the coaching and supervision system. With this support, it is hoped that PPPK teachers will be able to improve their professionalism and the quality of learning to support the creation of quality education in Southwest Papua Province.
