KURIKULUM BERBASIS PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TERPADU

Abstract


Character education is an ongoing need to form strong and quality individuals. Educational institutions are a part that also contributes to educating and building the character of students. The methodology of this paper is qualitative descriptive with observation techniques involving researchers in the issues discussed. The purpose of this paper is to explain about the implementation of character education in an integrated learning curriculum. Character education is the goal ending of an educational process. Character is the fruit of conscience. Conscience is based on morality. Moral is based on life consciousness which is centered on the mind. Moral provides guidance, consideration, and guidance for acting with responsibility in accordance with the values, norms chosen. Character education there are four basic characteristics, namely the regularity of interior coherence, autonomy, determination and loyalty, which must be done continuously covering all dimensions of learning and objectivity. The possibility of a variety of integrated learning relating to education carried out in an atmosphere of progressive education, namely an integrated curriculum. The curriculum is an activity of arranging the integration of various subject matter through a cross-field theme, which forms a meaningful whole so that the boundaries between various fields of study are not strict or can be said to be non-existent but internalize through values. Integration of character education in the curriculum can be implemented with integrated curriculum, forming a community of school environments, parents of students as partners, and educators as models / examples
